Introduction

The "4GL Applications Repository" is dedicated to development and maintenance of OpenSource applications written in x4GL programming language. Mostly, this applications fall in Business Related, Database Oriented (BRDO) category.

Goal of the project it to provide an development eco-system where x4GL developers can develop and maintain applications written in x4GL programming language, and provide user community with powerful BRDO OpenSource applications. In the process, project promotes and popularizes 4GL programming language and high productivity application development concepts.

Hosted applications

Main applications hosted in repository are:

  • OneMaxx - Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Contact Relation Management (CRM) suite of applications.
  • Total Control application suite, consisting of:
    • TPOS - Total Point Of Sale - an POS application for goods or services selling environments
    • TRC - Total Rent Control (formerly TVC) - POS application for rent environments
    • TSC - Total Service Control - POS application for service environments
  • Other smaller applications and utilities (JobNet, ListMan, etc...)

If you have an application written in x4GL programming language, that you would like to see released and maintained under OpenSource development and licensing model, let us know.

We are also always looking for developers, both individuals and commercial vendors, interested to participate in development and maintenance of applications hosted in 4GL Application Repository.

Join us!

You do not have to be an expert 4GL programmer to benefit or participate in this project; x4GL programming language is extremely easy to learn and English language-like. But even if you are not interested in programming at all, you can benefit from rich functionality of available applications as user, and possibly participate as an Domain Knowledge Expert, with business process experience, in defining functional specification, writing documentation, and reporting bugs as user of applications.

We welcome participation from both individuals, Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), Value Added Resellers (VARs) and any other commercial or non-commercial entity or individual willing to participate and contribute.

To participate in this project, join our mailing list

Notes
