OneMaxx ASP E-commerce framework

Application Services Provisioning (ASP) is an deployment option, as well as a new way to view business applications and there benefits to your organization.

With OneMaxx ASP framework, organization can deploy OneMaxx suite of applications to be accessed via web browser, over the Intranet or Internet, anywhere in the world, in a managed and secure environment.

It can mean your sales force can have full access to all of the back office applications and data while on the filed, it can enable you to benefit from centralized processing of dislocated offices, or enable you to provide access to your customers and suppliers. And this options just scratched the surface.

Since OneMaxx is a multi-company, multi-currency and multi-language enabled, you can easily generate additional revenue by providing access to OneMaxx applications to other vendors, on a subscription basis. If you are an accounting services organization, you might even consider providing OneMaxx to your accounting practice customers.

Or, it can enable you to provide direct access to your data to external, expert level accountants, allowing them to keep an eye on your books as frequently as you want, instead of one-off review sessions at the end of accounting periods.

Functionality of the OneMaxx ASP framework include:

Please note that ASP framework does not use or support HTML user interface available with some 4GL compilers (like Four J's WFE - Web Front End). Using thin Java clients instead, allows OneMaxx applications running in ASP framework setup to preserve full functionality and interactivity of there desktop equivalents, which is not possible when using HTML user interfaces, which are page based.

For example, with HTML based interfaces, it is not possible to verify customer code or name immediately after this data entry field is exited - all per-field processing will have to wait until complete form/web page is submitted. Equally, function keys, for example F1 which is typically configured to provide context sensitive help, will do nothing. This is not a limitation of OneMaxx, but HTML interfaces in general, and will affect all applications that provide Web Browser based access to business applications using HTML based user interface.
