OneMaxx Shipment/Landed Costing module
The Shipment/Landed Costing
Application is an adjunct to the Purchasing
Application. Its purpose is to monitor the transport and importation
of products and provide a means of readily calculating the actual
cost of each item. It does this by identifying each shipment and its
contents, then recording all costs associated with it.
Features of
the application include:
- Handles both local and overseas
purchases
- Shipment header details include
shipment ID, shipment type (eg. air, sea), initial and latest ETA,
Bill of Lading details, container details, Letter of Credit
reference and warehouse
- Shipment item details include quantity
shipped, quantity received, unit value (ie. FOB cost in a
nominated currency), tariff code and duty amount
- Shipment details can be edited until
the shipment is finalized
- Each charge relating to a shipment may
be from a different vendor and therefore in a different
currency
- Accumulated charge types can be
distributed separately to calculate Landed Cost by either Net
(FOB) Cost, Weight, Volume, Density, Quantity or number of
Lines
- A range of reports and inquiries are
available including shipment status, shipment arrival list,
under/over delivery, supplier price variations and landed cost
list
